Anne was born in Utica, on August 26, 1958, the daughter of Donald and Beatrice (Hahn) Stern. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School with the class of 1976. Anne was united in marriage with her first love, the late Jeffrey Marleau and had three beloved children together. She later found love and companionship with Robert Halpin, whom she had many great years with before his passing in October of 2019. For over 40 years, Anne was employed with Utica National Insurance Group, having achieved the title of Senior Underwriter in the E&O Department. During her time there, Anne developed many meaningful friendships and memories. Anne loved to spend her time in Alexandria Bay with wonderful lifelong friends, especially Diane Pudney and Regina Talerico-Sirianni. Most notably, Anne was deeply devoted to her family, and nothing gave her more joy than being with her adored children and grandson who were the light of her life. She was of the Catholic faith.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Lauren Marleau and her fiancée, Kaitlyn LaPolla of Utica; two sons, Chris Marleau and his fiancée Kara McMullen of Clinton and Sean Marleau of Prospect; her cherished grandson, Rowan Marleau; one brother, Terrence Stern and his longtime companion, Diane Brown of Mohawk; sister-in-law, Nora Stern of Virginia Beach, VA; niece, Brittany Stern and great niece, Sophie. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Beatrice and brother, Christopher Stern.
