Ruth was born in Chadwicks, NY on October 13, 1933, the daughter of Edwin and Anna (O’Dowd) Sweet. She was raised and educated in Chadwicks and earned her teaching degree from Oneonta College.  On June 23, 1956, Ruth was united in marriage with William J. After retirement, Ruthie and Bill spent their last 35 years between their homes in Lake Worth, FL and Remsen, NY. Ruth enjoyed summers at Kayuta Lake and winters in Lake Worth. She enjoyed golfing, long walks, and taking cruises with Bill. Ruthie especially loved spending time with Billy, Dee and her grandchildren. She and Bill also enjoyed many decades of long special friendships with the Bathricks, Caspers and Hoveys.
