UTICA-Mrs. Marguerite (Marge) Morgan, 64, went home to the Lord on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Wynn Hospital in Utica.

Marguerite was born in New Hartford, NY, on March 13th, 1960, the fifth child of the late Raymond and Bernadette (Mattis) Siuta. Marguerite was raised in Utica, attended St. Josephs School, and was a graduate of UFA, where she studied and obtained her cosmetology license. Marguerite worked for several years at Broadacres Nursing Home and St. Luke’s Home as an aid ward clerk.  She then was employed by Oneida County Child Support Unit, retiring as the unit supervisor.  On September 19, 1986, she was united in the sacrament of marriage to Edward Morgan, a blessed union of nearly 35 years.  Mr. Morgan predeceased her on April 5, 2021.

Marge had a passion for flowers and enjoyed planting and bragging about her garden. She had an effortless ability and loved to host and cater. She loved cooking for everyone, especially meals for gatherings and special weekly dinners with her family. She loved to reminisce about “old times” and share stories from her childhood, growing up as one of 8 siblings. Marge truly enjoyed her enormous family and always took it upon herself to make sure newcomers felt welcome and loved, thinking of others before herself. She had a funny, sarcastic, and lighthearted personality, and any time in her company was a good time. Marge loved to spend time at her family’s camp on Kyser Lake, hosting family pool parties at her house, going to the casino and vacationing in Florida, caravan trips, and Cape Cod. She was a lifelong devoted member of St Joseph St. Patrick Church. She was a nurturing, loving, and doting mother, always wanting the best for her daughters, going the extra mile and sacrificing. She was a devoted daughter that cared deeply for her mother through her later years, until her passing.   One of her greatest joys in life was when she became a grandmother and was given the title “Gigi”. Babysitting and spoiling her grandkids gave her much joy and her love for them was truly unconditional. Marge also adored her dog, Chester, who was her loyal companion.

Marguerite is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Elizabeth Morgan and Rebecca (Chancellor Sr.) Coyne, and their children Chancellor Jr., Wynona; siblings, Ramona (Carl) Scaramuzzino, Martin Siuta, Christine Miller, and Elizabeth (Stephen) Graham, Daniel (Rosalie) Siuta, Anthony Siuta, and Andrew Siuta. She also is survived by her brother and sister in-laws, Andrew J. Jr. (Suzanne), Dorothy (David) Neri, Cindy Morgan, Michael (Suzanne), Mary Ann, Patricia (James) LaBella, Patrick (Lisa), and Christopher (Heather). She will be remembered by her abundance of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, infant granddaughter Nona Jude Coyne, and in-laws Andrew and Mary Morgan and David Morgan.
